The Dimensional Materials Laboratory is currently seeking driven graduate and undergraduate students interested in the growth of novel 2D materials, advanced material characterization and device fabrication, electrochemistry towards the development of biological, chemical and environmental sensors. The focus of the Dimensional Materials Laboratory is the development of novel chemical, environmental and biological sensors with high sensitivity and selectivity, understanding the interactions between micro/macromolecules and materials. This involves the study of materials of varying dimensionality, mainly 2D materials, utilizing advantages gained from the high surface area of the materials, where interactions result in pronounced changes in materials’ electrical, optical and mechanical properties.
